On-Air
Weekends, whenever. I also do that Big Hair Wednesday show (oddly enough, it's on Wednesday...from noon to 1pm). As my "day job," I also write & produce commercials for the sales department about patio rooms, horse feed, foam insulation, naughty video stores, etc.

I'm also a proud pet owner. I have two big cats that were both about four years old when I adopted them. If you are considering a pet, please also consider adult animals. I've never owned a dog, but in the case with cats, they are already litterbox trained and have developed personalities (so you can figure out if you'd be compatible or not). Please adopt from a shelter and give a dog or cat a shot at having a nice, full life of love.
Here is a link to a terrific local no-kill shelter for felines: The Scratching Post. Also www.petfinder.com is a great site for all pet adoptions.

Big John
Murray is that big dude all dressed in black who you see watching Bret Michaels' back on VH1's "Rock of Love" (and everywhere else). He's a hometown boy who has a great job working with rock stars and now he's all over that reality show and VH1.com. Now he's got his own website. Take a look. Really. Don't make us send Big John out after you.

How well do you know your Big Hair songs? Test yourself here! Loads of fun.

Bio

I started out working part-time for (then) Jacor Communications in January 1994 and did my first WEBN promotions gig in May 1995...started driving around in the 'EBN van, pulling over at gas stations and fast food restaurants and handing out stickers to the masses. In the fall of that same year, the boss decided to put me on the air, probably out of desperation, but 14+ years later, I'm still here...

When I was in the 5th or 6th grade, I had my own WEBN club because I was the only rocker girl in my school. There were a few other boys that wanted to join and I put them through an exclusive initiation process where they had to pass difficult written tests about rock 'n roll and jump over balance beams with their shoestrings tied together 'n stuff. If you were one of those boys, I'm sorry.

Heavy metal monk
Friday 07-18-2008 12:31pm ET
from Reuters:

Jul. 17 - 62-year-old Italian Capuchin Friar Cesare Bonizzi is no ordinary heavy metal rocker.

Brother Cesare is better known among Italian heavy metal fans by his nom de rock, Fratello Metallo (Brother Metal). Describing himself as a "preacher-singer", "Brother Metal" has been singing for over a decade and has just released his 18th album.

Helen Long reports.

Jul. 17 - A Capuchin monk is a convincing lead singer in an Italian heavy metal rock band.

62-year old Friar Cesare Bonizzi describes himself as a "preacher-singer".

He's been singing for over a decade, and last month wowed heavy metal fans at Italy's "Gods of Metal" festival, where he performed with his band Fratello Metallo (Metal Brother) alongside groups such as Iron Maiden.

Bonizzi has released his second album "Misteri" or mysteries, inspired by a group of southern Italian women who sang about Jesus' mother Mary.

A heavy metal version of the song features on the album, but Bonizzi also sings about how alcohol can warm the heart, but then damage the liver if drank in excess as well as how important sex is to man.
