Russian tattoo artist Ruslan Toumaniantz tattooed his name across his girlfriend Lesya's face less than 24-hours after meeting her. The pair "met" in an online chat room and quickly fell for each other, prompting art student Lesya to leave her native Saransk, Russia and move to Moscow where Ruslan currently lives.
'It's a symbol of our eternal devotion. I'd like him to tattoo every inch of my body," Lesya said.
At least Lesya's family will be somewhat understanding - their other daughter is a tattoo artist as well. Leysa plans on taking up the profession too - she has already stared her apprenticeship with Ruslan.
'Their plans for a life together include her learning to tattoo while she also gets the full-body ink that she’s always dreamed of and of course a family,' said a friend of Toumaniantz.
The man added: 'I know that there are people who are terrified that Lesya has made a rash decision that she’ll regret horribly, but sometimes the best decisions are the ones you make in an instant with your heart rather than the ones long-debated in your mind.
This isn't the first time Ruslan Toumaniantz name has been in the news - back in 2009 Kimberley Vlaeminckin accused Ruslan of taking artistic license on her face after she asked for three star tattoos near her eye and ended up with 56 instead. It later came to light that Vlaeminckin lied and Ruslan was cleared of any wrongdoing.
