Monster Rocks!

I just got thru my 1st listen and couldn't get enough, immediately I had to let it play again.  Feels like something that came out of the 70s remixed with sound quality of today.  LOVE IT!!!  The last song is so fun with the lyrics, "this is your last chance to get it right" it forces you to feel like your running out of time and you have to party right then and there.  It'll be a great song to play for sports teams as time is running out and for to put a spark into party's as the night rolls on.

Simmons bass playing is wonderful, dare I say flawless.  He gets in a groove so got it mesmerizes you.  There's some great guitar shredding by Tommy throughout these songs and Paul's voice holds up very well.  Stanley shares vocal duties on the album with everyone, even Kiss's drummer Eric Singer gets a shot.   It's one addicting album.  You feel like you are immersed in a party while your spinning the album.

Kiss just keeps getting better despite only having two original members.  Hopefully they put together yet another tour to support this album and come back to the Tri-State to give us a taste of these songs live.  I wouldn't mind a "start to finish" live ride with 'Monster' it's THAT BADASS.  The album truly has everything you come to expect from Kiss.  Perhaps it's missing that cheesy sing-a-long tune, but Kiss has enough of those.  There's plenty of chant a long's in this album, so dive in and learn your parts.  Let's hope they rock plenty of tunes from 'Monster' live.  10/10 for me!

Highlights:

 "Freak"

"Back to the Stone Age" - Simmons sings

 "Long Way Down"

"Outta This World" - Tommy Thayer sings

"Last Chance" - great guitar work and such a party song to end the album.. you're left begging for more!
