A new survey came out where parents in Britain say drinking makes them better people.  In this survey 6 outta 10 parents admit that alcohol nor drugs had any negative effect on their parenting skills.   1 in 5 actually say it positively impacted their skills.  Many even say their children encourage drinking. 

 

  • Over 50% said they drank every week
  • 7% admitted drinking every day
  • Over 60% said drinking or drug use would have no effect on the parenting skills
  • Around 20% Said drinking impacted 'positively' on their parenting skills
  • 17% Said their drinking increased after the birth of their first child
  • 9% Said drinking or drug use had a negative effect on family life
