Overview: Karizmata is a five-piece, unsigned modern rock band based out of Cincinnati, OH. The band is currently self-managing and self-promoting, so we could use a little help! The founding members of the band have worked together since 2002, with other members joining at various times. Karizmata has played up and down the state of Ohio extensively in 2008, but now are intently focused on developing a loyal fanbase locally and providing a much-needed boost to Cincinnati's original music scene. Karizmata released a self-titled debut CD in April, 2008. This self-produced first effort is a strong showcase for a band steeped in songwriting talent and technical ability, artfully blending melody with heavy grooves and at times restraint, while the soulful vocals spout intelligent lyrics that alternately convey pain and hope. The band draws from an ever-growing list of musical influences, ranging from Edwin McCain to Sevendust.
